Area of implementation: The implementation of the project took place in the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine

The main goal of the project was to to promote multi-cultural diversity and social integrity of ethnical minorities in the Lower Danube area of Ukraine and Moldova.

Project objectives:

  • to raise awareness of “food heritage” as a major aspect of cultural cohesion in the Lower Danube area of Ukraine and Moldova.

Project activities:

  • documentation of local culinary traditions
  • studying the history of regional cuisine
  • general presentation of catering units and manufacturers of traditional products
  • identifying chefs who preserve traditional culinary culture
  • organizing traditional cuisine festivals
  • development and promotion of gastronomic tourist routes
  • conducting information seminars on issues related to culinary heritage

  • Stakeholders informed about opportunities and requirements for developing food heritage catering
  • Food heritage tour routes designed
  • Food heritage heritage promoted
